BWL Announcements

Dear BWL Members:
We are delighted that BWL Inc. and Foundation will be working collaboratively to host the annual Scholarship Fundraiser this Spring. As you know, a critical part of our ability to give generous scholarship depends on the success of our corporate sponsor solicitations. To that end, the scholarship committee is working diligently to prepare corporate solicitation letters. As many of the corporations we are targeting will be finalizing their 2003 corporate budgets by the end of 2002, the scholarship co-chairs would like to mail the corporate solicitation letters out in December 2002. The committee is in need of volunteers to undertake the following specific tasks:
(a) keep and update a corporate sponsor list (a draft of the list is presently available, but we would like someone to be in charge of any address up-dates etc.. that might come up between now and December 2002 when the letters are scheduled to be sent).
(b) merge the letters so that each letter can be personally addressed to particular sponsors.
©) take at least 50 letters to mail from your company or firm - because we would like to conserve BWL Inc. and Foundation resources in connection with the mailing.
d) make 3 or 4 follow up phone calls after the letters are sent in January 2003 to ensure that the corporate sponsors have (1) received the letter; and (2) encourage them to contribute.
Please let us know if you are available to help out with any one of the above-referenced tasks.
Your support means a lot to the organization.
Thanks very much.
